Atlantis Casino robbed again?

Just saw the article in Herald that 4 men robbed, at gunpoint during the day thursday Atlantis Casino. This is scary, as they just can walk right in, with no problem, especially daytime, when its slow... Oh well, guess that takes care of my passing time during the day when not in the mood for the beach!!! What is the recouce of this crime??? Your really a target in a casino, as you would have to stop everyone, and search everyone coming in!!! Wide open to crime.

Thats sad, I just got back from SXM and went there just about every nite and had no problems at all. The casino was practically empty every time maybe thats why.

We love Atlantis and go there every night while we are in SXM. The again part of your message was really troubling. Has this happened before? If so, how long ago?

About 3 or 4 years ago. There was a rash of casino robberies during that year and Atlantis was not the only one hit. Then it stopped for quite some time. The robberies were done in the early morning hours with few gamblers inside.

With all this brew-ha-ha about lack of security on the island and the government saying that they would start taking a stand, it's amazing that these guys had the idea to do this now. I would guess that these robbers know a lot more than we would suspect.
