Island hopping

Hello got an idea and I want to see what you all think. I'm a private pilot in the U.S. and I've been to St. Maarteen several times and noted that there is no way to rent an airplane down there. I know I would personally love to be able to rent a plane and hop around the local islands. Does anyone know if this type of business has ever been tried in SXM. Also does anyone know a good place to get information regarding aviation laws in SXM?

Yes its been tried, They are called Win Air and Sun Carribean and Liat and who knows how many more.

I'm not talking about airline service. I was looking for rental aircraft that as a private pilot you can fly yourself. I'm fully aware of winair and the other small airlines i've flown them before.

LOL Just kidding with you! Your talking charter. Go for it! A lot more freedom for your passengers not to mention the site seeing aspect of the adventure.
