rain forecast?

Hi All, I see the weather forecast next week, when we will be in St. Martin, is 30%-50% chance of rain every day. What does this typically mean for the island? Rain all day? A little rain each day?
Let me know your thoughts. We have long anticipated the beach and sun, so I need to mentally prepare (and pack accordingly) if a week of rain is likely!

Nah, a week of rain is definitely NOT likely! The forecast always says there's a chance of rain. If it rains at all it's usually at night. If it rains during the day, it's generally a 10-minute shower and the sun comes right back out. Not to worry!

we have a lot of haze here now
it seems to be from a combination of Saharan dust, volcanic ash, and wildfires in Venezuela

Thanks for this post. I'm also planning on getting into St. Maarten on Wednesday and was also concerned about the forecast. It looks like the Friday forecast is "Showers" 40%, but you think one should not be concerned?

there is a front coming in near Puerto Rico and that area is forecast for soem showers. whether or not we get any is hard to tell.
check the local met office web site for more information

It currently says "An approaching cold front will become stationary over Puerto Rico, but will enhance the possibility for shower activity across the SSS islands later by Sunday. "

so hard to tell
