I would wish for Peace for all nations.

I'd wish that ALL the children of the world could join together and sing in harmony.
NO! Who ants a bunch of screaming kids all over the place.... I'd wish that I had one million dollars a month,tax free,.....like some of these CEO's....

I would wish that poverty and misery to be eradicate from earth... this would solve a lot of our problem, including terrorism and crime.

My first post- am refugee from That Other Board where "moderating" has really gotten below acceptable-and certainly ditto jimandi but would sneak in another more frivolous one- that we could have the island back to how it was when I visited for the first time (Dec '80). Just for say 6 months to delight us Old Guard. Then we'd better turn it back to now so that all the thousands can continue to come & enjoy.

With all due respect to newer posters here, please recognize that this is not a chitchat type of forum, but more like a place where people come to ask questions and receive answers without a lot of the other stuff that makes each spot different from the other.

And as has been stated by the moderators here in another post, if you have issues with other forums, it's best you leave them there. This is GoBeach and those who post here don't really want to hear the negatives about other websites. And note, please, most of us do post on multiple chat boards.

And lastly, in the original thought of this thread, my wish would be that we could all forget our differences and really try to get along with each other as the new year dawns. In making efforts to do this, so many other problems would probably vanish like the winds.

Really? Poverty causes terrorism? That's overly simplistic and a commenly stated falsehood. Bin Laden comes from one of the wealthest families in Saudi Arabia. Zamarihi is a licensed Doctor. The jackass who just tried to blow up the plane landing in Detroit was college educated and came from a wealthy family. Many more examples if you want them.
