Barbara,

I posted the following on another forum and want to post it here as well -

Kudos to all those who participated in the clean up at Mullet Bay Beach following the Easter holidays.

In reading the different articles both in today's Daily Herald and in your blog, something else came to mind and should, IMO, be duly noted.

All too often, timeshares, both the concept in general and the properties in particular, take a lot of heat on these forums so it was particularly nice for me to note that The Towers and some of their staff members and employees were also actively involved in the post-Easter clean up along with some of the guests who own time there.

Kudos to all of them for pitching in and joining the effort and ultimately, giving back to this island we all love so dearly.

--------------------
Respectfully,

pat

Pat I saw your post on TTOL. Thanks for posting it!
everyone who helped deserves credit.
As Michael said though, too bad people are too lazy to clean up their own mess.
and of course I don't see our government lifting one finger to help.
They set such a good example. NOT!

Barbara, I'm guessing the government doesn't help because they see they don't need to. Doesn't SXM Pride clean this mess up every year? It is a shame, and very hard to understand that the citizens of St. Maarten would treat their home in this way. Perhaps if fines for littering were instituted that would be a deterrant. The monies collected could be used to purchase garbage cans for the beach.
