CUPECOY/OMAR/SHORE POINTE

Hey residents!

Curiosity...

Would love to know how the breakwater, SP development and of course the beach held up.

From what I see our beach choices will be limited as of the 25-3 (Halloween)

Looks like Orient, Orient and the golf course...the runway beach was cleaned up to make room for the planes!

Where will we "beach"

THANKS!

Denis

I was there today and took some pics that I will post tomorow morning, don't have time tonight...
Shore POint held up the storm. The railling fence is gone in front of the two or three first condos and the staff was cleaning up the considerable amount of sand accumulated on the terrasses of the units. They have salt water pool though and couldn't see any major structural damages to the place.
There was some sand still where it is supposed to be.. I mean on the beach, but very little.
The "rock section" lost part of the steps going down, the missing part is laying side way at the bottom, and the concrete plateform is destroyed. The Rock is shrinking from years to years and from huricannes to huricannes... There is not much left of it, unfortunatly, it was one of Cupecoy landmark...
The third cove lost what was left of the steps going down, and a large part of the cliff fall into the water.
I took some picture of the golf course (look like the Sahara...with oasis!), and the SSGB/Bliss/caravanserail area (look like ... well I will not say it, but as usual when a huricanne do some damages, it look like a war zone)...
Kim Sha is still enterely covered with orangy algees.

Kind Regards,
Philippe
