Does anyone know how Carlo (from Bella Napoli) is doing these days? Did he recover?

Carlo isn't in the best shape. He had a massive stroke and his bed ridden for the most part. He is unable to swallow food and his being fed by tubes. He's down to a sickly 100 pounds as well.
