As I was eating my lunch today, I came across an interesting article in a Coastal Living Magazine and at the end, they mentioned the following item that they will be putting on the market very soon:

Now THIS is a great solution to SXM traffic issues grinning smiley !!!! Think about it...a car AND a boat made for salt water. According to the article in the magazine, this item would probably be going for $85,000 but when you think about how much a car is and how much a boat is, that isn't bad....And when you're done for the day, drive it through a car wash and keep it in your garage! Think about how easy it would be to drive down a boat ramp into Simpson Bay and then ride to any flat beach or boat ramp and voila.... back to driving again. Could you imagine!



The article talks about the 1960's when a similar car was manufactured and that there may be only 600 of them left that they know about. There is a Club for these owners and they like to get together and watch people's eyes light up when they see what the car can do. Most were made for fresh water but some were made for salt water. Being that rust was the biggest issue, I am sure the new model that will be sold will have addressed this issue more deeply.

There used to be one of those on the lake near us. Someone built a house on one of the little islands in the lake and that's how they got back ond forth. In the summer!

It was pretty cool to watch
