We're thinking of renting the Coral Beach Club house in January 2008. Does anyone have any information on the complex? Are the units finished, and if not, is there any construction? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

My family just got back from a week in St.Maarten. We rental a villa next door to the Coral Beach Club. The units are directly on probably the nicest beach on the island.It is next door to Mr. Busby's Beach Bar and the Oyster Pond Resort. It is a great area but you need to be careful with your personal belongings. Our villa was entered while we were sitting on the patio and more than $2000.00 in cash and valuables were taken. According to the police, petty theft is rampart in that area. People are on the beach or on the patio relaxed and thieves have a field day. Always make sure to look the doors and place your valuables in a safe if one is available. The Coral Beach Club may not be as vulnerable as our villa was.

O no I am sorry to hear it - which villa were you staying at?

So very sorry to hear that. This is an old trick though... We had a house down the shore and while people were at the beach, one perp would stand on the beach watching while the other went into the houses and stole whatever they could grab.
