We have learned to be a bit more patient then "in the days" when business class and economy were the way to go when business flying.

I think a lot of folks are searching for deals, discounts and the like in times of higher fuel costs and subsequent pricey air fares. With this fact in mind if and when we find a deep discount, $9.00 fare, FF miles to our liking, or a seat sale we jump on it. When a fare like this comes up I don't expect any frills, exemplar customer service or freebie meals. We get to the airport hours early, and if available change our seats to bulkhead or exit row. Better seating can often mean comfort that makes up for negative service.

AA continues to be my first pick both International and domestic but like I said...if a cheapie deal comes up I grab it.

For those traveling from SXM to Florida you might want to check out AIR FRANCE for a good deal to MIAMI and vice versa. Booked for the New Year at last year's prices; $404.00 out the door.

With higher fuel costs etc. cutbacks will continue but on the other hand I'm sure the marketing gurus at the major airlines will offer the opportunist sweetheart deals to fill planes. The dates and times may be not be ideal but the prices will be right.
