Coming to vist in a couple weeks (3rd time) and wondering if any of the restaurants in Grand Case still convert the Euro = Dollar if paying cash?
Thanks

Hello Jerry,

If you pay cash in $ the service would be the same. In certains restaurants, the Euro it is at 1.20 to 1.50 $ (dependence how you pay, CASH or not)

If need more information, still contact me.

Hi Jerry,

The restaurants are the second best thing about the island, after the beaches. Hope you get to enjoy lots. We were told by a man returning home to the U.S. with family after checking up on the house he's building in Sint Maarten that a long time resident gave him valuable advice: Before sitting down at the restaurant tell them you'll only stay if they gave you dollar to euro equal value. They more often than not will accomodate you. Unfortunately, we heard this when LEAVING, so had no chance to put it in practice.

We loved Khush, by the way, and had wonderful tapas there. Risotto, tuna tartare, beef tenderloin, chicken satay, etc. - all as tapas, all good. But expensive. Chaz, the owner, is a perfectionist.

Good homemade pizza can be had in Orient Beach Village at LePiment. Enjoy!

Kat
