if you are a foodie and want to cook your own food, where are the best markets? We like the grocery store in marigot, and the big phillipsburg one is less interesting, and find the organic store in marigot good, although small. (great, really tender lettuce!) Farmers markets wed/sat in marigot, any other options? Favorite meat markets, i know fish comes in the mornings....thanks!

Be aware that buying food in Marigot is more expensive now with the Euro. The dollar is very weak against it.
That said, there is a great little market in Marigot by the bridge called US Imports. A great selection of wine and cheeses etc.

The Grand Marche in Cole Bay on the rod to marigot which is new is better stocked and nicer than the one near Philipsburg... they have a nice selection of things and I see a lot of french people shopping there.

Hi,
There are several french meat markets that I know of. One is in Bellevue across from the Radiologie office. Very pricey.
There is a nice little gourmet grocery store on Rue d'Anguille. The have a fabulous cheese selection and I have bought veal there. Great produce.
Good luck
Cheers
