Greetings to all. My friend and I have planned a trip to St. Maarten next month. I have done most of my reviews on tripadvisor and am glad that I have found this website (so to the point) smiling smiley) now I would like to know is there a Starbucks on the island? We are staying at the Sonesta Maho (btw any "real" reviews of this hotel is also greatly appreciately).

Thanks again. smiling smiley)

luluday, No Starbucks thank God and once you get there and understand the island a bit you wont miss it. Sonesta is okay and can be wonderful in the right rooms even if you end up having to pay to upgrade. Its a good area of de islan if you like some nightlife and socializing since it's in the heart of things but removed enough that once in your hotel you feel like your off in your own little wonderland. Rent a car and see all de islan has going for it. You wont be sorry you did because this is an island wehre nobody really stays in once place that much.

Thanks Anon. I have read many bad reviews on Sonesta and am a bit concerned. Now that I read your mail, I feel much better. Hopefully the room we have is good enough if not, we will upgrade for sure. Thanks again.

Hopefully after my trip to the island I may kick the starbucks addiction ~ sort of like a starbucks rehab smiling smiley)

Thanks again!
