Hurricanes

Hi everyone,

I'm considering moving from Europe to the Caribbean but I'm concerned about hurricane season. Are hurricanes a serious problem or can you ussually cope with them rather easily once you get used to them?

hurricanes are always a serious problem if they come our way. We have not had a hurricane since 1999 luckily.
to get through a hurricane, you have to live in a sturdy house, be able to board up properly, and to prepare for possibly days or weeks or months without electricity.
It doesn't happen very often but sometimes a bad one can hit. we had our bad one in 19995 and we lived for 3 months without electricity.
