too many bad reviews

From what i've seen from pics and Hotels offered ,ST MARTEN is 2 star with a 5 star price. I've been to cancun, puna canta, cuba, jamaica, accapulco, and to many us and canadian beaches[FT lauderdale.clearwater beach, pei, etc],and the beaches are great. As near as i can see ,these people bragging up st martin must be the hotel owners, because the pics ive seen show poor beaches and hotels.

So true, I'd respectfully suggest you stick to what you know. Why take the time to tell everyone ? Philanthropy ?

I agree with Dicky! I was planning on leaving for St. Martin tomorrow but I am now thinking of changing my plans for a fun filled week at one of Canada's beautiful beaches. Anyone who begins any comparison with Cancun must be a world traveller!

Well, Bill. Since you've been to all those places and have only seen pictures of St. Maarten/St. Martin you have all the basis for comparison you need, right?

Go. You'll find out that St. Maarten/St. Martin is much more than hotels and beaches. Something no photograph can capture.

It's true. The loyalty factor is a strange phenomenon. Sometimes there are "businesses" that try to advertise under the guise of a tourist. You need to differentiate between the two.

Bill, try going about exploring some of the islands you mentioned. You won't return alive. SXM is not like that at all. That's the biggest difference.

Why people get offended to the extent they do is humorous. Many places have their good and bad points. This IS an SXM site so bragging is understandable.

I'm sure it has its good qualitys, and security may be one of them. From surfing the net and travel books, people make there choices each year for there winter vacation, and having been to a different destinations as i've mentioned, all were pretty close to the research.Even then one had to be selective as to beach and hotel chosen.Just consider this research of st martin and thanks for the feedback, didnt mean to offend.

And I suppose that on the weekends you let the air out of tires for excitement. Have faith though, you'll make Lettermen's stupid pet tricks spot in no time at the rate you're progressing.

We are not worthy!!!!!

Everyone has their opinions... He is still not aware of the fact that destinations like Cancun, Punta Cana, Cuba, Jamaica etc are filled with organized mass tourists and that the exotism of these destinations are lost so long ago... He thinks having high rise huge resorts and man made tourist attractions show that the destination has more to offer... I respect your opinions but do not agree mister...
