Hostel or cheap accommodation?

Hi,

Can anyone suggest some cheap accommodation near Philipsburg/Simpson Bay area while I'm looking for something long term? Are there Youth Hostel and Packpackers places in St Maarten?

Aussie Girl,

I would not suggest P'burg as it can be dangerous, stick with Simpson Bay. Simpson Bay will be more expensive but your safety is well worth it.

I don't know any hostels but The Tourquoise Shell in on Siompson Bay would be one of the cheapest. Also The Fantastic Guest House in Marigot is very reasonable also. Good luck.

In 25 years I have never heard of any hostelries or backpacker hotels on st martin. Doesn't mean they don't exist but I just never heard of any. Be careful wandering the island if your a solo young female. They got enough statistics already down there so be smart wherever your wanderings take you.

There are several "crew" houses used by the yacht crews. Check with Isle del Sol Marina.
