Barbara and Philippe, don't give up hope. Please try anything and everything: posters in post office, windows of your cars, schools, hand outs to school children, notify all vets on the Island. See if you can get the community and owners of other missing dogs to band together with a public meeting. Get the radio's newspaper's attention. I know in my heart that you know all of

Le Grand Marche has it. I buy it there for my Grandson's medical machine. If it is out on the shelf, ask them, they probably have it in back.

Hello jewelsnpa7. I hope you enjoy your visit to this most wonderful Island. I am not sure what comes naturally to you, BUT, we are not the States. We are trying our best to make this a safe Island for you and the the locals as well. I am in the criminal justice system as well and I sure do not have the answers for you but, traveling to St. Maarten can be more safe than other destinations

Welcome back Philippe. Life can't be too bad when you return home to such a beautiful place as St. Martin. You are top notch in my book and I look forward to meeting you someday. In the mean time, how about some more history lessons?

I do. Went there to call family at Christmas. We gave them the phone number, and when they called us, we all squashed into a little green booth so we could talk. Payed on our way out. Barbara, you are so good for my soul.

Barbara, glad I am not the only one that feels sentimental about the old airport. Lots of good memories associated with it. But the new one I feel is very impressive and beautiful.

Philippe, I read your blog a couple of days ago and was so moved by it. It has been on my mind since. Such a beautiful heart felt story of real life. Please move forward and follow your heart. Go. There is a reason for you to have found them after all these years. It just may help heal and settle the soul for all of you. Like Kenny, I wish peace and solace to each of you. With Best regards

I ordered canvas bags on line, plain natural color. We have three small grandchildren ages nine, five and four. When they visited we did craft day where they drew a picture, wrote a story or whatever their heart desired on the bags and finished up with a hand print, name and date. I hang the bags just under the key rack so I will not forget them. One is especially special to me. Gabe age five

I have exhausted all my connections. Everyone tells me they know the point but have no idea how it received the name. Even old sailors charts refer to it and advise to stay clear. On Google earth it is referred to as The Grand Case Rocks. And the rocks do appear to be stacked. Why? Today I was directed to contact Pierre Beauperthuy, owner of the Old House on the way to Orient. It was sta

Let's not forget about this post. I have bugged everyone I know and they are all looking for the answer. Just sent a email to local St. Maarten business man, and while he did not know the answer, he said he knew just who to ask. If there is a reply, I will post asap. Best regards, Sylvia

I emailed my daughter to see if she remembered anything from school or the story teller that told the children stories of history and fables. She does not but is going to research on her own. The following is a paste of her email. Interesting. Sylvia I'll look through some of my old notebooks from school, but mostly what we were taught was the Dutch history, nothing much about the

We were always told that when the plantation was completed and the owner's wife arrived on the island, she was very homesick and did not like the island. The husband tried to make her love her home by importing wonderful furnishing from all over the world. What ever her heart fancied, she got. Thus the name Mary's Fancy. Now, this is my Grandmother's story. Not sure how true it

I won $500.00 donated to my favorite charity. I have decided it will go to 'The Bone Yard', an organization that takes old computers, removes the usable parts and builds computers for children of low income families. It is a good thing. Sylvia
