The picture shown of the Dawn Beach project is not a Marriott. It is a Westin property. mc

With a decent map it's easy finding your way around. Just be careful as the roads are about the narrowest I've seen. Beautiful island though. mc

Eben, With your continued dredging up of old car rental threads to spread your story, you're sounding more and more like the actual crook. Did you have an accident, and are hoping to get away with it because there was no police report? Either way, we've heard enough of your whining. mc

Will, When you get settled in at OBBR, go to the activities desk and check out the various day trips and excursions. There are many to choose from and not all will interest you. The people there can give you good descriptions of each option. Anyone there can give you directions to a full service grocery. You're better off getting to OBBR before going for groceries, as stopping on the w

Ed, It's amazing how much filth you're willing to wade through to find one kernel of politics to argue. mc

Rick Lanning, If you read the original editorial and still defend it, you either work for the "Today" publication, are simply out of your mind, or one of the biggest homophobic bigots on the island. Or are you all of the above? I couldn't believe anyone could write such trash, let alone print it in the paper. mc

Rosemont, Sorry if I misunderstood your sentiment. I hope in your future travels to St. Martin, you'll give Pinel and Karibuni another chance. Next time pass on the lobster and try the rum! You'll love it! mc

Barbara1, My original post to Zeke mentioned clearly that there are two restaurants to choose from. I was recommending my favorite. The other is more of a snack bar, but I'm sure it is preferable to some people....just not my choice. I guess for us, the day on Pinel and lunch at Karibuni has become kind of a special tradition we look forward to each trip. mc

Zeke, Pinel is a must for us once each trip. As much fun as it is to see them pull the basket of live lobsters out of the ocean for someone to choose their lunch, we've never had the lobster ourselves in a dozen trips. As I mentioned in my earlier post, it is an upscale menu, but its a very casual beachside restaurant. They have great salads, seafood specials, and sandwiches. The atmos

Zeke, The Karibuni restaurant is one of your two choices for food on Pinel. I highly recommend it. They offer an excellent upscale menu (seafood, salads, etc.), beautiful seaside setting, and possibly the best infused rum in St Martin. You'll get a free sample after your meal and you can buy it by the bottle to go. They don't take credit cards though, so take extra cash. mc
