Not sure what their policy is or whether they will really care but if you mention the fact that you have a handicapped person, maybe they will consider a switch if there are any lower floor rooms available. The front desk usually knows when some rooms will not be occupied. Worth a try.

I will not tell you which rental car company to use but I will certainly second that advise regarding your free week's rental. Unless the coupon was issued by the Hertz or Avis rental IN SXM, they will promise you the world until you get there but once you enter their rental lot, will insist that they do not honor the coupon. Be politely forewarned.

Did you want to stay on the French side or Dutch side. French side is quieter and Dutch side has most of the nightlife. On the Dutch side, my recommendation would be for the Sonesta Maho, The Royal Islander Timeshares, The Pelican or Flamingo, or Divi. My recommendation for the French side would be Grand Case Beach Club.

If those are your only two choices, depending on what building you are staying in at Pelican, that is the one I would choose. According to some, the "B" building is the one you would want to stay in. The other section seems to have issues. If you are not limited to those 2 places, then what exactly are you looking for in a place to stay? Quiet? nightlife? beach access? restaurant

And so the fact that your friends claimed to have used the safe and management implied that they were lying tends to make me feel that no matter whether the kids in this recent incident had used the safe or not, the quote "if you had used the safe, our insurance would have covered the loss" was just a ridiculous lie to stop the Kellett's from pursuing the incident any further.

March 8th is a Thursday and so unless your date is wrong, you may need to find a place to stay for 2 days until a unit opens up in whatever a timeshare facility you may find. I personally do not know of any timeshare that does not do Sat/Sat or Sun/Sun. Here is the website of the Royal Islander and you would be looking for week 10 which starts on March 10th (Sat/Sat) or March 11th (Sun/Sun),

About 3 or 4 years ago. There was a rash of casino robberies during that year and Atlantis was not the only one hit. Then it stopped for quite some time. The robberies were done in the early morning hours with few gamblers inside. Contessa, I am not sure why you addressed me but as I stated, the only people that know what transpired are the Kellets and the daughter of the owners. One stated their side and when the Kellets do post, which I'm sure they will when they have returned, then we will hear the other side. I am not a judge or jury but interested to hear the story as I would while reading it in a newspaper.
