The only two problems I've had over the years at Sapphire were with the bar owner and the variety store owner. Simple solution........ spent my $$$$$ elsewhere. Never a problem with the staff......ever

Spent the last week of January there, room was clean, no need to replace the furniture in our unit and the staff was wonderful. Sam at the bar leaves alot to be desired but he is only hurting himself. I personally don't want a rockin bar scene at the place that I'm staying, pretty quiet there after 9:00 p.m.

I used Food Express @ the Maho round about last week and was happy with the selection and prices. They are also open until 11:00 p.m., and probably the closest to Terres Basses. IMO anything you need can be found on the island, I wouldn't bother packing any food for the trip.

Just returned from a great week on the island,no traffic problems. New airport road and Cole Bay round about seems to be helping with everyday traffic but you still need to be cognizant of Simpsom Lagoon Bridge opening times and plan accordingly.
