The restaurant across from Rainbow is FIG. We have eaten there several times, and look forward again when we arrive next Tues., the 29th. There is a coffee shop up on the hill behind Atlantis Casino, near the AUC Medical school.

John, I agree with you on your locations. But, Laguna shut it's door earlier this year. It was primarily due to the health of one of the owners, who are brothers.

FYI. If necessary. many of the brands mentioned above, are also available as de-caffeinated. My wife is not able to drink regular coffee, due to heart medication. We have never had a problem in this regard.

Does anyone remember a restaurant on Front St. called Le Grenoille, it was owned & operated by Pierre, who later owned Le Perroquet (sp)? Another restaurant, this one in Marigot, on Rue de Hollande, was La Diva, owned & operated by Michel Lerousseau? Michel went back to France after he closed the restaurant

Does anyone recall when La Belle Creole closed there were several containers which contained new furniture in order to renovate the rooms, not sure how many. The containers were eventually broken into, and the rumor or joke was, that every house in St Martin had a piece of La Belle Creole furniture in it.

Our plans for the winter, going down Nov 5 thru Dec 4, and again the months of Feb & Mar. Have been doing this for about 10 years, and it sure breaks up a long new england winter.

Contessa; Was K-DIS the name of the market in Marigot?? Barbara; do you recall the days when the "big" jets were not allowed to take-off from PJIA after 5:00 PM??
