Jeff Most of the "stuff" Rimas sell are the sam ason other islands with the islands name on them. The shorter term solution would be to sell local ( only made on SXM) things. As Barbara said the lack of local artisans doing this is lacking. But since this area is lacking there is room for growth. Ie the guy that does the baskets on OB, or more custom swimsuit shops. The first Pedros I remember didn't have electricity. They kept the beer in huge coolers. Pedros was located on the CO side of the rocks then. When Luis came through Pedros rebuilt on the other side of the rocks, added the bathrooms and then had electricity. SXM??? Wendell

I don't know if it will be any different from last high season. On Wed's there were 9 cruise ships in. Course that was the day I definitely avoided P'burg. And we'll have to see if they can fill the Oasis. And SXM needs the port fees for paying for the pier. Time will tell how this plays out. SXM??? Wendell

Barbara it is sad you have to defend yourself for having to go through such tragic times.
