I believe the one I recall (or perhaps I've mixed up pieces of several) showed or talked about the bridges being open and long lines of boats pouring into the lagoon. Boats hitting each other as the winds increased. Scenes from along the roads after. Not sure Dutch side or French side, sorry. May have had both. I don't think it's one I've found on YouTube.

Is there any limit as to what can be built on the beach? I noticed a huge ugly monstrosity of metal scaffolding and "stage" going up at a place on Orient. Making it appear more of a nightclub than a beach. Big speakers and such. Such a shame...

Yes, VerizonWireless phones work there just fine. I went last month and dialed (I think it was *611) before I left to activate International roaming. I think it was 1.99 per minute? No problems at all.
