I have the same questions. We used to love going to Dawn Beach and getting a chair from Mr.Busby's or Mrs. B's. Is there still parking somewhere for non-hotel guests?

Can anyopne give us an update on the construction of new units at the Caravanserai? Also, did anyone else receive a bill for 2 years of maintenance fees ( 2006 & 2007) ? Should we have to pay maintenance on units that are not yet built and not occupied? PJP

Is there any way that the resort can be held accountable for the expenditure of the maintenance fees? Isn't that the way it is supposed to work?

Thank you to those who have responded. I have received an email from the sales department at Caravanserai stating that demolition has started, and due to delays, that the new building will not be ready until July 2007 instead of March or April. Can anyone who has been to SXM since April tell me if new construction has started at the Caravanserai, which is just beyond Sunset Beach Bar and Bliss. We have reda on a SXM newsletter that construction was delayed due to lack of proper permits for tall buildings near thge airport. Any first hand information regarding progress of this project would be appreciated. Thanks! PJP

There is a shower in the tub, but there are no walls around the tub for a shower surround. This can result is water on the slippery ,marble floor, so be careful. We have not found this to be a major problem. have fun! PJP
