I can't believe how much the prices have gone up on the island. Obviously the hire car has gone up but I didn't think that with it being a duty free island that alcohol especially could be so expensive. $4 for a Heineken in Simpson Bay, one bar had craft beer and I thought I would try it - $14!!!! We found the wifi on the French side worked better. Also there was a lot of power cuts on the Dutch side which doesn't help when you are trying to send emails. Our villa has orange on the french side - no complaints whatsoever Ad

Marigot - the worst but only due to the horrendous road works the French side have decided to do just before high season. Marigot is one big traffic jam. I feel so bad for all the businesses there. Ad
