Philippe- just so that I'm clear. If and I've seen this stamped on the bill it says "service non compris" all that means is the service charge hasn't been added which wasn't going to the wait staff any way?? And if service is added all that means is that it's going to the restaurant and not the wait staff? I am trying to get this straight in my mind that servi

Norm which place in the Simpson Bay Fish Market would you recommend? I remember you and Betty ate at one and also posted a photo but can't remember which one you ate at?

You can rent a phone via her website. https://queenofsxm.com/home.php. There are many good restaurants on the Dutch side - both casual and more upscale that we visit but not on this trip.

We returned from our vacation tanned, refreshed and already looking forward to trip number 17. Nothing like returning to work the following day and having all that “refreshed and recharged” feeling go right out the window! I really need a day off before returning to work so going forward our trips will be on the weekends. JETBLUE – Flights were on time with a minimal amount of turbulence

We stayed there six times and while there is a place for a bartender to serve in the pool area they never did. There is a new owner but I have not heard that they serve drinks in the pool. It's a very small pool so I can't imagine there would be much business in having a bartender there. We never saw many people using the pool area since the resort is directly on the beach most peopl

Congrats on upcoming nuptials. I would recommend the Dinghy Dock for casual dining and great happy hour. 5-7 PM pour your own top shelf drinks for $2.00. They also have friendly staff and are on the marina. If you want to gamble there is a casino at the Westin Dawn Beach, never crowded. Big Fish is another good restaurant in the Oyster Pond area and you have Captain Olivers next to Dinghy Do

Have stayed at Mary's Boon six times but the last time was 2 years ago with new owner and aside from higher price didn't notice many changes. Resort is still quaint in our opinion and a great location to the beach with onsite dining and a small pool. If you have knee problems keep in mind that walking from your car to room could be a little difficult as the path leading from the car t

Big Fish was very good and Dinghy Dock for casual dining. Dinghy Dock is also great for daily happy hour from 5-7, $2 pour your own top shelf's. We had sushi at the Westin's Ocean, and it was delicious. Had dinner at Captain Oliver's (nice ambiance) -- good ala carte menu with great views of marina.

Because this happened to us last year we decided to fly non stop out of Newark on Continental this past October. We didn’t like Continental or the longer drive so decided it’s not an option for us. AA changed the flight times too often for us on past trips and with the addition of having to use more FF for a free trip we are using Jet Blue going forward. As early as last week AA still sh

I'm so jealous of you Denis! Happy New Year, sweetie. KARACTER and Topper's are my new fav's on the Dutch side. We have always liked the Driftwood but probably won't get much time at any of them this coming trip in April because we'll be planted on Orient the entire time and don't like to drive at night the distance. We do look forward to 9 days in October on

Cappuccino Diner Bar & Restaurant have a breakfast special for $4.95, eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. The Phantom loved it. I'm pretty sure you can get breakfast 24/7. I'm more of a crepe breakfast person so I love La Croissanterie in Marigot and David gets the American Bkfst. The regular croissants are so flaky! Have a great time and all my love to Sarah! Gobble,

Denis have you tried Capucino diner? We did and it was very reasonable and good breakfast food. The price is more reasonable than Spinnaker's although you don't have the great view and atmosphere.

We ate there a little more than a year ago and this is what I had written then: You have your choice of about 10 different fishes, halibut, salmon, grouper, mahi-mahi, etc. along with several sauces. I choose the grouper in a dill buerre blanc. A delicious piece of grouper was lightly battered and sautéed with the sauce on top. A mound of mashed potatoes infused slightly with curry, some m

Hey big guy! We meet up with the rest of the crew at Lady C and the place was crazy. Sorry u guys couldn't join us for Part II of Halloween. We really enjoyed dinner with you both at Toppers and Lee's. Spent the last evening with John & Michelle at SkipJacks with cocktails at 3 Palms. I wrote a report on the other site but just a part I accommodations. I'm still working o

Mary's Boon or Beachside Villa's on Simpson Bay. Have stayed at MBs six times and always felt safe. We will be staying at Beachside Villa's this trip as it was more reasonable. They come highly recommended and there is a security guard onsite throughout the evening.

I was at work and my co-workers and I watched in horror as it unfolded as we all had videostreaming on our PCs. I called my husband first and told him to turn on the TV and then my parents. I sat mesmerized by the computer and at home by the TV for days until our daughter who was 11 said, “Mommy please turn it off; stop watching the same thing over and over." My company let us all g
