We used to get Dish Network on Dutch side from Minder but that was years ago. I am not sure you can get it on the French side. Good luck irina

Hi Linda, Didn't notice your post. That area is lovely. We used to go with friends on their boat to that part of the lagoon and swim. The water is remarkably clear and clean. Villa looks super nice, don't know that particular one but I have been in the units at Pt Piroutte and the property is nice and clean. Good luck. irina

Well I don't know who owns it but the property is huge! And it spans the road to Plum Beach. And it has such pretty pavers! LOL Definetly the ocean side is for the owners but the other side looks good too. I heard there was bowling alleys and all sorts of stuff there. Also the staff quarters. I never took a picture cause I didn't think I would get out with my camera. B you need

There used to be a little sentry shack that we used to mark the turn off the main road. Philippe or Barbara, whose enormous property is that that spans across the road, right before the access to Plum Bay? The one with the pavers............. thanks i

Wonderful news and a great start. Great to see the French side being so proactive. Wish some of them would stay longer and get to know who the trouble makers are and who the regular goof balls are. Good news. Cheers irina

Erik, What Philippe said! It's one of our favorite beaches. Truly lovely and the waters are calm. You didn't say how old the children are. It's one of the nicer beaches in SXM. Have fun, Cheers irina

You know Georgia a dress from RIMA would be fine. You can wear that as a beach cover up and then to the Grand Marche. SXM is really not a beach town. It's a country surrounded by water. Cheers irina

Not outrageous fee. We always used the ATM at ScotiaBank on Welfare Rd. Part of CIRRUS network. Check with your own bank and make sure your code is only 4 digits. Cheers irina

You can print your boarding pass 24 hours prior to flight. There are many places where you can print them out if Towers doesn't accomodate you. Though I suspect they have a computer and printer for their guests. Maybe Kim or Pat will let us know! Cheers irina

Spirit is terrible. Flew them out of FLL to STT then SXM. Missed connection cause we sat at FLL and waited for others who were late making the flight. Didn't even apologize. People were really pissed off. Never flew them again. irina

Right. It's not a "pretty" warehouse. Though that's where alot of restaurants and shops get their merchandise so the prices are very good if you buy by the case. We would run into Pierre, Linda etc there. We used to go there for that reason. Plus our condo had lot's of storage so we did buy things by the case, gallon whatever. Cheers irina

Pat I know Mullet is your favorite as it was ours. I hated going there on Monday ams. There was so much garbage all over the beach, particularly by the point. Bonfire leftovers, styrofoam, Heinie bottles, cigs etc. People trash that place on weekend nights. But there are not enough garbage bins for even day trip beachgoers. I guess it was better maintained when Mullet Bay Resort was on g

I have seen madras worn on lot's of islands, not just French. St. Lucia comes to mind. They still wear alot of madras there. I asked a friend of mine in Sint Maarten, born there, and she right away said it was for "country" folk! My girlfriend lives in Cole Bay so she's city. LOL I do know there were lot's of Scottish sailors in the caribbean back in the 1600's
