For anyone who cares... PayPal now offers one time use credit cards. Actually, it is a credit card number with all the information such as name, number, expiration, and the security code. They do not actually send a physical card. Once you have a PayPal account, you are able to to get your one time use credit card. You can have multiple cards at any time. Since PayPal has come out with t

We have a few cameras in a "bad area" back home. They do work believe it or not but...now the trouble makers have moved their business to an area that is not covered by the cameras. Now all they need to do is add a gazillion more of them and we could probably drive them out of our state. LOL I think that once the cameras in P-Burg show there usefulness, they will probably set

WoW !!! One has to wonder how long the Wyndham chain will allow their name to be associated with the mess at Sapphire. From what I have read here, it has been a problem for two years! Lenny

It is to bad about all of the crime on SXM. It is the island's beauty that makes people visit, and it is the reports of crime that will turn people away. The clycle will keep repeating itself. It is actually hard to believe that the police force/island is out of funds. The government has to wake up and be proactive. Hawaii had similar trouble years ago...crime concentrated on th

I'm wondering if anyone got to read last week's Wall Street Journal's article about the trouble with crime in Jamaca and the Carribean . Obviously drugs had a lot to do with the enormous rise in crimes. The cost of these crimes are now starting to effect tourism. So here comes the vicious circle of declining tourism. The one thing that was pointed out is, that the islands

D&J, I didn't think that the mosquitos were bad last year...it was the noseeums(?). Those bites left me itching for the whole trip. The worst part was that you couldn't feel them biting. Hopefully it has been relatively dry this season. Lenny

Well I now have a map, but it says that it was printed in 2002. The bad thing is it doesn't list street names. It does show downtown Phillipsburg street/blocks. As bad as it sounds, after 7 trips to the island, I finally have a map that is better than the one I had with the car rental or from the island magazines. I plan on parking over by the stop & go lights where you go North

Thanks for the tips. The island info maps are sold out. The map on this site isn't in enough detail. What I was looking for is something that shows enough detail to list individual streets. This way when you guys/gals have a great tip on something from a business or a location, I can mark it down. Thanks again Lenny

This is going to sound funny but....I'm looking for an updated map of the island. It would be much easier to find all of the great places that you regulars are always talking about. Any suggestions or web addresses that aloow you to download and print. Thanks in advance Lenny
