Trip Report - May 3 – 17, 2015 (Part 1) Flights - Travel down was on USAir through Charlotte. No problems, on time. Trip home was on American through Miami was somewhat less than pleasant. In their quest for customer satisfaction and loyality, AA totally canceled our afternoon return flight from Miami to St Louis and put us on their 6:20pm flight. I've stayed at both Royal Palm and Oyster Bay. Actually own at Osyter Bay. Both are great and favorite places to stay. Dawn Beach at Oyster Bay is nicer than Royal Palm's beach which is hard with not too much sand. Of course, there is Simpson bay Beach which is only a couple blocks away from Royal Palm and is very sandy and walkable. More eating places in walking distance from Royal

Larry, It does seem somewhat strange that Orient businesses have or are rebuilding, but my info came from a French side Rotarian who knows the people, besides government , that are in control of this project. Also the lady who owns Chez Lendra(sp) also owns and cooks at Mom's in French quarter, confirmed the news. Afraid that Orient will losr a lot of it's charm(?) with the change.
