10% taxes out of your paycheck in the USA? I doubt that. I would assume it is much more. here it could be as high a 35% depending on you income bracket. I would run that by your prospective employer

Hi Matthew Its hard to answer our question. certainly people do survive down here on a salary of even less than $3000 a month, but it is difficult.your monthly expenses depend on a lot. apartment rental: plan on probably spending around $800 -$1000 a month for something decent. electricity can be expensive... depending on the size of your apartment and how much air conditioning you use, cos

I'm sorry. I don't know that charter. maybe Philippe does? many people just go over on the ferry on their own, take a taxi, and go to Shoal Bay beach for lunch ,a swim, and then back to sxm.

I take offense to this entire thread. I think making a blanket statement like that is completely unwarranted and prejudiced. the local women..why so pissy? I have local women in my family and believe me they are not pissy. At least not unless, they are not treated with respect. so I resent on a personal level what you say. You do not state details or anything else. You just make a general st

you can not work legally on the island if you are an American unless your wife files for residency for you. and as far as I know there are no "jobs" as an artist per se although there may be some limited opportunities in visual arts. the best thing to do is make some inquiries when you are down here. good luck!

It is difficult to give yo exact figures. the electricity cost on the french side are cheaper than the dutch side, but other than that I don;t knwo much abotu french side rentals. On the Dutch side for a decent one bedroom apartment expect to pay anywhere between $800 - $1200 per month plus utilities. Utilities can run as high as a couple of hundred dollars a month depending on how much electric
