I am very concerned that Calmos Café will never re-open at its former Blvd de Grande Case location, in favor of its relocation @ Princess Heights. Does anyone have any new and reliable input to relate??

Barb, What a relief to hear from you! Glad you, and the island, have survived. I look forward to seeing our beautiful island in 2018.

We have been patiently waiting to hear from Barb, Gert, Phillipe or any full time residents of the island. We know that internet, phone and power are spotty. Are all the "regulars" O.K.? Is life beginning to normalize? All of our prayers are with you!! We have been coming to the island annually, for a week, since 2007. We usually rent a private villa, and have stayed in Simpson Bay,

You tell 'em, Barb! Why is it that people investing in a Caribbean vacation don't take the time to research whether there is adequate grocery shopping? Why do they think everything is so PRIMITIVE??

Barbara, Thanks for the info on Lady Liberty. Your response inspired me to watch a 10 minute video on BlackAtlas.com which was very informative. I, now know where the Agrement Roundabout is located, between Marigot and Friar's Bay.

Does she still reside in the Agrement Roundabout? I would like to visit her. I've been coming to the island annually since 2007, and this is the first I've heard of this! AND.....where IS the Agrement Roundabout???? Phillipe????

I am a frequent vacationer to St. Martin, but usually stay on the dutch side(Simpson Bay, Phillipsburg, Dawn Beach), where American newspapers(i.e.NYT, Washington Post, USA Today) are usually easily available. However, this year, we are renting a condo right in the middle of Grand Case, on Blvd de Grand Case. Where can I get daily American newspapers in Grand Case??

Hello, We've been coming to the island for 10 years, and usually rent a villa. We have rented in Terres Basse, Cupecoy, Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond. We are 8 people. We usually come for a week, early in December, right before the "high" season, when the prices go up. We would also love to attend any get-togethers planned for the week of 12/6-12/13/15. I agree. Purchasing directly from MaDouDou Rum in French Cul de Sac is the best and quirkiest! We love doing it every year when we're on the island.

YES!! Please help. I also enjoy an early morning walk, coffee, and a pastry. I remember going to that same colorful cottage across from the Atrium, too. However, primarily because of the increasing traffic, congestion, and development in the Simpson Beach area, this year, we will be staying in the Cupecoy beach area for a week in early December. Is there a comparable petite café near Cupec

Jeannie and everyone, I have visited St. Maarten 5X in the past ten years. Each time, I was able to use my personal cellphone to make and receive local calls, and make and receive calls to/from the states. Each time, I merely needed to sign up for "roaming" capability while I was on the island, for a $5 - $10 one-time fee. My next cellphone bill after I returned home was only abou

Yes, you're exactly correct. However, we were located on a bluff above the sea. It made for incredible vistas of both Dawn Beach and Guana Beach, but it was a trek to get down to the beach.

The name of the villa was "Eden Rock". We didn't actually eat at Oyster Pond. We had drinks at the Oyster Pond Resort.

Just returned from our 4th trip to Sint Maarten. We rented a 6 bedroom Villa near Dawn Beach, including maid service and pool man. There were 9 of us. The cost was cheaper than if we had rented 6 hotel rooms for the week! Plus, we could cook some of our meals. We had an unobstructed view of Guana Beach and Dawn Beach, in a gated community. We finally made a pilgrimage to the Ma Dou dou Rum fa

Hello All, We are arriving in St. Martin in June and are interested in inspecting and/or purchasing a timeshare unit. Friends who recently visited and toured several resorts told us that at the time they rented their car, they were offered a coupon for a reduction on their car rental if they returned the coupon, signed by the timeshare resort, confirming that they had visited and/or purch
