any on-island get togethers?

Hi. My wife and i are in SXM for a couple of weeks. Are there any planned on-island get togethers etc by any of you SXM lovers / reidents? We love it here and would like to hear about fun things,restaurants, etc.from the perpective of residents and people that love it here. I only have wifi access so I can only pick up responses in the evenings when I get back to the room.

Hello,
We've been coming to the island for 10 years, and usually rent a villa. We have rented in Terres Basse, Cupecoy, Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond. We are 8 people.
We usually come for a week, early in December, right before the "high" season, when the prices go up.
We would also love to attend any get-togethers planned for the week of 12/6-12/13/15. (lance.brown53@yahoo.com)
