Not sure if everyone here has heard the news Andy Susko had a stroke last weekend and is in the French hospital . He needs to get to the US for treatment and is unable to fly on a commercial flight ... I think he needs our help raising funds to help him out ... Andy Update:
The MRI showed the blood clot in his brain has not changed which is not good news. The hospital is releasing him to be med vac'd out. Andy can not sit up, so med vac is the only option. As of right now we are trying to get the $19,000.00 so it can be booked. I am not sure through whom yet. The goal is getting Andy to NJ by Saturday July 27th. All of your generous donations will go towards this effort. Andy has a long hard road to recovery. He and his family want to thank you

hank God we got Andy home: Here is a new update. They discovered another blood clot it is located in his leg. They went in thru his neck and ran a filter to his leg to try to keep it from moving. They are feeding him thru a IV and they need to get him to swallow. They are afraid that he will develop pneumonia. They are using new medicine to treat his bed sores which are really bad. When he is awake his spirits are high. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Wayne

Thanks Bruce for the update. There are not too many reading this board any more but I am sure those who do are glad to hear Andy is in good hands now. Hoping he gets better very soon.

grew up with Andy and glad to have this site to keep updated on his condition.

I drove to Hackensack Univ. Medical Center on Thursday, August 8th to see Andy. Sad to report that our dear friend Andy can not walk, and his left arm is paralyzed. Andy can speak, although his voice is a bit flat, and his affect is off a bit. He does have use of his right arm. The hospital is very good, and Andy is getting excellent treatment. Because he is unable to chew, Andy can not eat solid food for now. Let us pray that he will recover his pre-stroke abilities.

Thanks for the update. I know Andy has a big fight ahead of him. We all wish him well.

My wife and I have been going to SXM for more than 15 years. Andy has always been a part of our visits. How is he? What might we be able to help with? Our thoughts and prayers for Andrew and his family. Jeff

Andy is having a ruff time now. He has a cold an sore throat not being able to move on his own makes it hard to get comfortable. His sister is doing a great job an is with him 24 hrs a day. Please kept him and his family in your prayers. i hope to go up and see him again next week god permitting ..

I am sorry to report that Andy has passed away... this morning I believe.

Services for Andrew J Susko
viewing will Monday Sept. 16 at Aloia Funeral home in Garfield from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. The Memorial service will be Tuesday the 17th at 10 am in the chapel at Aloia followed by a celebration of his life in the reception room upstairs. —
