Waikiki Beach & La Shore Restaurants Building in Nettle Bay

Found out recently that Waikiki Beach and LaShore Restaurants are building in Nettle Bay next to MiaTi Restaurant.
A huge amount of land has been cleared. The beach is all cleaned.
Several buildings (wood construction) are going up now.
There is also supposed to be 20 villas built there too.
Do not know the proposed opening date.
The clearing is between Miati Restaurant and the old entrance to Belle Creole on the way to the French Lowlands.

Norbert Luftman bought that land to developpe it. It's not the Shore (Mouial's family....), and it's not the waikiki either (even though Norbert own it...) There will be some beach restaurant and yes some villas for eventual weekly or seasonal rental. A market study is still going on and the destination of the villas is not totally defined yet. regarding the restaurant, Gerald, who run during the glorious years and from it's creation the Kontiki for Norbert, is back on island from Bulgaria and will be involved in the restaurant operation and development.

Kind Regards,
Philippe

Glad to hear that Waikiki Beach is not moving to Nettle Bay..They are very loud when they have entertainment. Nettle Bay is presently a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Would like to see it continue that way. Clem
