I guess it's true that it is being torn down and will be replaced with some sort of hotel.

We can't stop progress....unless we want to regress. While I'm not in favor of high-rises, the present condition of Mullet is disgraceful and anything will be an improvement! JMHO....

If they do keep the golf course, I hope the greens fees won't go up!

Everyone makes light of it. It has been very sad for my family. Not again to have to pass the destruction of the storm will be welcome. To give up the wonderful memories of the area will be hard.

But my entire family has great fear of what will happen to the property now. AND we, as a family unit, have decided to pray for the following:

@ Give the land back to the people of St. Maarten.

@ Save SOMETHING for the future generations ( Would it not be sad, if a child born today on St. Maarten, would never know what their homeland looked like before the dollar or progress.)

Not one person is making light....we are happy that they are finally doing something....when you are talking that much money....the land will be used...and not given back.

tHen explain your comment about high rises and the golf course. Sounds to me thats making light along with comments about green s fees. Why not save that kind of stuff for your own chats where you can say whatever your wanting to and not offend any one.

It sounds like the poster who questioned it has deep ties so the humour is wasted and not helpful.

I was serious about the high rise buildings....golf courses should not be shaded.
You probably don't golf...Maybe you should...it would keep you away from being offended.....but I can't see this offending anyone!!
I will take your comment from where it comes....someone trying to get something going.....get back to daycare!

i think your comment was uncalled for about the daycare. it doesnt seem to me that the poster (who probably wasnt in daycare)was trying to get something going. maybe you should take a nap.

Of course, we are all concerned about the future of that area.
I've loved Mullet since 1972 and it is still my favorite beach.
Sorry, if golf course comments offended you, but the golf course was what made the area so beautiful. Much better than high density housing.
I also pray that future development is done in a manner that will enhance the property and provide much needed jobs.
