That's the only forum I know of that some people will argue over the dumbest things. If I said my undies were pink, someone would argue that they're blue....eye rolling smiley

Maybe not in droves, but I know several people, and can think of others who at one time were regular contributors to TTOL, but are no longer . The people I know have used the terms "clique" and "nasty" when referring. I wouldn't go that far, but I understand what they meant. There is a small group on there that hasn't learned how to agree to disagree, and never will. You have to share their likes and dislikes, or you are automatically wrong. TTOL, gobeach, orientbeach, several FB sites, and personal blogs are ALL great sources of info re. this island that we love.

If people are leaving in droves, how come there are many more postings on TTOL than on this site?

Bingo, because they aren't, everyone gets frustrated, my only issue with TTOL is the locking of threads, its 2011, and if you can bring up an entire thread on your cell phone, no reason to lock a good discussion. Other than that and this and others, all great sources of info. As I said earlier on FB, I was angry but its sooo dumb! These are freakin chat boards that people go to for information, nobody has to be all chummy, go to parties, meet up, etc, but you can, but you dont have to! all I want to is share info and gain info

i DONT think people are leaving in droves either.
Some have there own agendas and leave to persue them when they find out they cant there. Some leave because the banter gets boring and some leave because others take it all to serious. And some who left for there own reasons spouting about being banned when there not and just asked to conform to certain standards spelled out and known to everyone. And some leave because they heard about the site and used it as a tool to plan a trip and found the island wasnt there special place in the sun and moved on.
The thing is this poster is right. There all great sources of info and we do all have in common that we love the place so why cant we just sing kumbaya and get along. We dont have to love each other but we can still be civil cant we?
