There is going to be a fundraiser and get-together for Ray Manelli on Sunday, April 17, at the Simpson Bay Greenhouse at 5 PM. If you are on SXM please come and help raise money for a good cause. There will be a 50/50 raffle and hopefully we will get donations for other raffles. Please let me know here if you can come!!!

Who is Ray Manelli and what are the funds being raised for ?

Ray is a gentleman who sells timeshares at the Caravansari who is currently at Fox hospital in Philadelphia for treatment for liver cancer. He has a young son living on Island and funds are being raised to 1)help with meds that are not covered and 2)to help re-unite him with his son. Monies have been raised on both Facebook and TTOL but more are needed.

It's for a very good cause and for a very good person.

As many of you know by now, we will be holding a fundraiser for Ray at the Greenhouse on Sunday from 5 - 7 Eastern time.

Many not on the island have expressed interest in participating and bidding on the auction items. We've figured out a way to do it - real time. I'll be posting descriptions of the items to be auctioned tomorrow morning. You can see some hints in the recent post. We have also added more, including a beautiful bracelet courtesy of Deepti at DK Gems, a weekend at Caravanserai and much more. Lots of beautiful art.

So here's the way it will work.

Auction will be held on Sunday, from 5:30 - 6:30 Eastern time.

On-line bidding will be open to registered members of TTOL and Facebook. The link to the event on Facebook is

very very sad news! I didn't had the chance to met him or to know him but it is obvious that he was a very special person according to the outpouring support and love he received during his fight against the illness. May he rest in peace.
