I want to invite everyone at TTOL to a fundraising event I'm organizing for the Love the Lagoon project by a group called EPIC (Environmental Protection in the Caribbean). All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of a sewage pump out boat which will operate in the Simpson Bay Lagoon. This will provide an easy, low-cost way for smaller ships to have their waste water taken for treatment rather than having it go directly into the lagoon. Sewage is a risk to human health, is harmful to wildlife, and just plain stinks!

The event will be at the Sand Bar at Isle de Sol in Simpson Bay, starting at 7pm Saturday, April 2nd. There will be a reggae band, DJ, silent auction and raffle, education about the lagoon and more fun stuff. To attend, there is a $10 suggested donation.

If you want to come, please email mark at epicislands.org to RSVP. Security at Isle de Sol will be checking against the guest list so please make sure you are on it, and bring some form of ID.
