Restaurants that offer a Tasting Menu.

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any restaurant that offers either a Tasting Menu or a Chef's Menu ?

Many years ago (late 90s) there used to be one restaurant in Cupecoy (I forget it's name) that was attached to the 'The Market at Cupecoy' that offered a Tasting menu. The place was beautiful inside, but didn't seem able to keep any one chef for too long. However each successive chef sent out some really great stuff and it was quite reasonably priced too.

Just wondering if there are any others on either side that anyone can recommend.
Will be back in March and can't wait.

TIA,

M

Thanks Elaine, yes, it was Citrus.
We had many nice meals there over the course of 3 years and 2 chefs. One was a young guy called Jeff I believe, and on the second year's visit we brought him some spices that he couldn't get on island at the time.

I am not sure what makes a "tasting menu" but I had a sampler plate at Karacters last trip that was outstanding. It has small versions of 4 (I think) of ther other meals.

Le Cottage in Grand Case offered a fantastic tasting menu over this past Low Season. While the menu was not sustainable for the winter, it received such great reviews that they continued a few tasting plates to the first and main courses.

Thank you for your suggestions.
While a sampler plate isn't quite the same thing as a tasting menu, I've read enough favourable reviews about Karacters to justify a visit.

Danes, Le Cottage sounds about right and glad to hear that they offer a tasting menu at least some of the time. Had to delay our trip from March to April now, so hopefully they may be offering one by then.

Thanks all, and any more recos will be welcomed.

Thanks Islandbound.
We've eaten there many years ago and liked it so may try them again this year.
