Sympathies to Philippe and the family of Captain Oliver

Unfortunately Captain Oliver lost his battle and died yesterday.
Philippe made this statement on Facebook.

The End of an Era...
by Philippe Milovidoff on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 6:22pm

Il va me manquer profondément!

This morning, at 10am Paris time, against his wish and after a long battle against the elements, the Captain left the ship for his last journey who will take him somewhere over the Rainbow... May his soul and spirit sails in peace through those oceans which were his life... I will miss him dearly!

Philippe, I am so sorry for your loss.
and my sympathies to his wife and all of his staff.

R.I.P. Captain!

Dear Philippe. I am so sorry to hear of this news. When I read your facebook tribute, I was not sure who had passed away since I had never met the gentleman and did not want to post my condolences to the wrong person. Of course, you know my beliefs and so I am sure that he will be by your side watching over the restaurant and I am sure that his confidence in you has given him peace of mind as he makes his new journey.

Back in the day, when I was a kid visiting SXM, my family's favorite restaurant was Captain Oliver's. I have very fond memories of my time with my family at the restaurant. Thanks to Captain Oliver for allowing me to have such great memories.

Philippe, I am SO very sorry for your loss. May the wonderful memories you have of the Captain bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

xoxo

How very sad. Sincere sympathy to you, Philippe, and to all his family.
I never had the pleasure of meeting The Captain. Captain Olivers Restaurant was the first nice restaurant I visited and enjoyed on our first trip to SXM in 1998.

My condolances to the family and to you Philippe. The Captain would be happy with the words written, especially ' the Captain has left his ship'. All any of us will leave behind is memories. And the Captain has left many. many beautiful memories.

Rest in Peace Captain. You will be missed.
