Since Barbara is out of town and unable to do this, I post the following which I received earlier this evening from Andrea and which has already been posted in other locations. Because Andrea is a friend of so many who post here I'm sure those who hadn't already learned of it, will want to see the following:

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I let you know that my grandma, Elsie Mrozek, died earlier today. She went peacefully, surrounded by family and a live musician playing guitar and singing as she passed on.

Thanks to every one of you for joining me on my ride with grandma. Your cheers in good times and support when times were tough meant the world to me. And, I hope she brought some laughs to you as well. I'll surely miss her commentary!

No plans yet finalized. However, services will be sometime next week @ Friedrich Jones Funeral Home in Naperville.

This was one heck of a lady and Andrea has been one heck of a Granddaughter. I know her heart is heavy tonight.

Thanks all. Grandma lived a wonderful 102 1/2 years...and I was so lucky to have her in my life for so long. Ah, but she'll be terribly missed. She was a cute little bugger - anyone who knows me knows I'm not short.. but grandma was about 4'9" or so. So we were an odd pair! And, I'll surely miss her commentary on life - As one friend who never met her so perfectly put it, her "little nuggets of fun, positivity quirkiness and strength". (thx N.M)

But, I'll smile and remember her in those moments when I know she'd have a comment. In fact, just yesterday, some stranger sneezed. I said, "bless you". He sneezed again. I said, "bless you". He sneezed again.... I laughed and walked away. My grandma would have said in this situation, "Bless you once, bless you twice, three times? Go to hell you have a cold."
