Ferry to Anguilla

Need some expertise on the ferry from PJIA to Anguilla. I have an elderly Aunt (very stubborn if I may add, with all due respect) that is traveling to Anguilla in October. ( She is going to meet college mates for a ‘Great Fling’ as she puts it.) She insists that she just has to walk across the road and the ferry will be there for Anguilla.

Since we have to make sure that she GET ACROSS THE ROAD fine without her knowing it, could you help me with:

* Is there still a ferry to Anguilla across from PJIA.
* What is the schedule.

Any information or advise would be most welcome. We are dedicated to letting her have her ‘Great Fling’ but we have to make sure she is covered every step of the way.

Bt the way, if she waited one MORE week, family would be on Island but Nooooo!!!!!

I love aunts like these and I think every family has at least one ! smiling smiley
They are very entertaining and you want to do everything to make them happy, but they can drive you up the wall !

Sorry but I don't have info about a ferry to Anguilla from the airport (I didn't even know there was such a thing located in that area; maybe in Simpson Bay ? but thats not 'just across the road'), but I wanted

to wish your aunt well and a very enjoyable 'Great Fling' !

You tell Auntie she's a big hit.
Don't know much about them but heard of GB Express from Axa to Sxm and I would google them for what your looking for. They get good reviews.

Go Auntie go. She might just be my new hero.

Have her use GB Express. There is no walking across the street involved. They pick you up right outside the airport doors and take you in a van over to immigration at the police station where your paperwork is processed. You board the very nice boat right there by the bridge at the police station and you are on your way to Anguilla. We used them in April. It is a bit more money to reserve ahead of time and have them pick you up at the airport but it would be worth it for your Aunt. Here is the website. Good Luck to her. She will love Anguilla!

Thank you all so much and leemns thanks for the website. That is exactly what we were hoping for. The schedule looks perfect for her arrival. With any luck, she will be settled in on Anguilla in time for her 7:00PM Manhatten Cocktail. lol

Just to let you all know Auntie Nana landed in Savannah today at 6:30pm. She did have her 'Grand Fling' in Anguilla but the rest of the family will be signing up for AA next week.

Sorry if any of you ran into her. Next trip we plan to have a tee shirt made for her that says.....I have a cane and I am not afraid to use it.

Oh Leenms, that was the problem. There was no family with her. She would not allow it or wait two weeks until there was family on St. Maarten. She traveled with three women she graduated from College of Charleston in 1945. They all are in their mid 80's. All kidding aside, it was very stressful for all the family but they went and they enjoyed. Way to go Auntie.smileys with beer

Says she made so many friends, she is going back the same time next year. Maybe I will be senile by then. LOL
