La Vista

I know Georgia owns there, but the reason I'm asking here is in case someone else may interested in purchasing a timeshare there. My question is, can you buy at both the beach resort as well as the upper part? Not sure at the moment what it called. If it just La Vista or what.

The Upper part is "La Vista" and the lower part is "La Vista Beach".. I did the landscaping there just before their opening.

Kind Regards,
Philippe

Well, I thought I had posted a response here, but I must have just previewed it and never hit post eye rolling smiley. Anyway, Philippe is, of course, correct. I'm not sure I understand your question though, Melissa. Do you mean if you buy a floating week at LaVista can you use a LaVista Beach unit instead? The answer to that is no. The LVB units are more expensive than the LV units.

No, what I mean is, are both properties timeshares? I think I would want fixed weeks each year...wouldn't I? lol... I would buy at the La Vista (upper grounds) I suppose. Whatever would meet my $$$. I know it's something I need to check out. The property (ies) look wonderful. And from what I can tell, the price seems good too.

Yes, both are timeshares. I would definitely recommend fixed weeks each year. I'm sending you a PM.

I own a floating one bedroom deluxe unit high season (I think weeks 48-14) an I have no problem getting the week that I want (usually week 52 or 7) but you have to do it 2 years in advance, on January 1, every year (for example, this past January, 2010, I selected week 7 for 2012; next January 1, I will select my week for 2013). Fixe weeks are $1,000-2,000 more expensive than floating weeks. I know most people recommend buying from a re-sale agent but La Vista has had their high an low season weeks for sale at half price for some time now (for example, my week use to sell for $11,000; now the resort sells them for $5,500). If you are interested in a specific week/unit, it couldn't hurt to email the sales staff to see what was available an the price. Good Luck!

I think it all comes down to how flexible you need or want to be in terms of travel. Fixed weeks allow for airfare and schedule planning. I would deal with the resort directly, they are very nice people and would most likely help you sort out what is best for you.
