maybe turn of the century? as old as the court house maybe?
its very old though
we think the iron railings and the design were done in Europe and brought to the island long ago

Thanks Barbara and Philippe. The design is, as always, so intriguing... like taking a walk down Bourbon Street in NOLA. Like taking a walk into history. Do the people who own it maintain it? I would hate to think that the structure would be abandoned.

the people who own it live upstairs. Downstairs is an ice cream parlor
the building is on the monument list so should be protected. of course, our island government has never taken the final step to officially approving the monument list :-(

So? Where is it? I've seen some gorgeous buildings like this in Marigot off the beaten path as I say. I think down the same street as Christophle.......
