Hey!

Thanks for your confidence in my so called "expertise".

Can't help though...haven't been going for that long...BUT...try to reverse print and see what it looks like....will try to do that in PS later...Denis

Now I go back to my very first guess, and since Kim found a picture of Mullet with the tower in the background, I do beleive it is mullet bay, from building 90.
Those little white would be the umbrella and beach tents maybe? Taking in consideration that the original picture is very "blured" and the one of Kim is very sharp....

phillipe - nope, that isnt Mullet, thats Anguilla!!! i should have said that! I googled pictures of anguilla beaches and thats what I found!!

NO. It is not Mullet Beach in the 80s definitely NOT. And I am not so sure the picture Kim posted is either. I spent to much time on Mullet Beach in this time frame and I dont believe your right.

Then the original picture is Anguila !!! but where in anguila, could you be more specific?

hmm, I just googled anguilla beaches and this was one of the pictures that came up, of course I can't find the site now, but maybe rendevous bay?

here is another one, but no towers, but it is very far away but it says rendevous bay

i do not believe the original picture is Anguilla
kim, your picture does not have the mountains or hills in the background.
Philippe,what is the pic you posted?
that is much sharper and the hills look similar. that looks to me like the same beach

The one I posted is the one Kim posted in color... I switched it to black and white, cropped it, and modified the contrast, and I thought it look like pretty close to yours, but it is Kim's ones from Anguila, just modified...

Well, it is ME, that I know. And, the other two are my college friends who lived with me that summer in SXM.

I don't think it's Maho either. Maho is not that long and the beach never curved that much over to what is now the rock line by ssbb/sbag. And, if what everyone thinks is a signal tower... from that angle it would be located IN Burgeaux Bay not on the point of Beacon Hill.

I know a STRETCH, but what we think is a signal tower... could it be a mast of a boat?

your first pic you posted that I modified in black and white, is Shoal Bay East... I found it also on the web and that's what it said.
