Another stroll through Time

Sylvia (jimandi) said we were due for another stroll through time.
Since Philippe has no computer and is very very busy, I guess I have to come up with something.
I just got this B/W SXM beach picture. It was taken in 1984 as a promo for the island.
Not so so old, but a nice picture nevertheless.

Even being 1984, I find this one very hard.
I am sure I do not have a clue, but will guess, Grand Case first, Little Bay second.

I know, I know. But I said guess.

Thanks Barbara

This one has me perplexed. I am probably over thinking the entire photo. BUT there is a signal tower on the right hand side of the photo.

So, signal tower was/is on the point of Beacon Hill, but too many trees on the left hand side of photo. So I don't think it Burgeaux Bay.

Signal tower was on the point off Great Bay. But not the same as the 1969 photo that is hanging in my dinning room. So I won't guess anymore.

I can't wait to here where this is.

Any chance it's Simpson Bay looking from the Bourgeaux Bay end of the point? I thought Mullet at first but couldn't place the 'stuff - buildings - heavy tree line - WE' at the far end of the beach.

The curiosity's killing me, Barbara.

well, truthfully we aren't sure. Dee is looking at it now ..again..we thought it was simpson bay beach and the buildings were that white sands hotel place..... but I don't think so.
the antennas in the background are definitely the airport towers.... I'm pretty sure of that
so maybe Neil is right.. Mullet Bay from building 90?
but I don't remember so many buildings on the mullet bay beach either

I don't think it is Mullet either. I must be really, really old. I don't remember h2osports shack or the 2 restaurants on Mullet Bay. I only remember the beach bar, Maho Watersports dive shack and tables under the Sea Grape trees for the Wednesday night beach party. And if building #90 at Mullet was built on the cliff, well I am proud to say I stood in front of the bull dozer to try to stop the construction.

That was building 90, Sylvia, and good for you.
I think it's way too much construction at the far end to be Mullet Bay Beach. I'm thinking from the far end looking down Simpson Bay towards what was White Sands.

Does anyone really have the answer to this one?
