Have you considered renting two smaller cars? That might actually be cheaper, and will also give your group the option to split up if you want to do different things some days.

Jan,

Personally speaking, and unless you really can't come up with at least two drivers in your group of eight, I would absolutely agree with GaKaye on this one.

Beyond the fact that your group may not ALWAYS want to do the exact same thing at the exact same time, there is definitely something to be said for the ease of parking those little slowrollers over the big van, be it at the different beaches, restaurants or for trips to town.

We've done both types of rentals and we've found that it's far easier to have a couple of vehicles rather than just one but that's just one more person's opinion.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Respectfully,

pat

I agree that 2 smaller cars would be better than one for this large a group! However, if you want to go out at night there's always the option to rent a driver w/van. I've done this on a couple of occasions and it works great! We didn't have to worry about who wasn't drinking that night and driving back in the dark! thumbs up Enjoy!!

Big Deal...so I did a few island tours a few years ago...Janet asked for ideas, and I gave her my honest opinion. I respect your request of 'no ads', but that's still my honest opinion

We rent every year from Alain Arnell at Triple A. His online ad shows a high season rate for a Dodge Caravan at $540 a week. Check it out:
