First trip to St. Martin - A Few Questions

Hi - My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Grand Case 5/17/10-5/23/10 and have a few questions....

What are typical taxi fares and do they stop running at a certain time? (we are hesitant to rent a car since we are from the US and drive on the opposite side. We are also hearing mixed reviews on whether to rent a car or not. Ultimately we're trying to figure out if we want to travel to Marigot or Philipsburg and spend the day, will a taxi be affordable and accessible)

Recommendations for snorkeling trips - a lot seem very 'commercial'. Also, similar to above question, if the boat leaves from another part of the island does the snorkeling company provide transportation or would we need to arrange that on our own?

Traveling to Antiguilla - we saw some ferries that go there - any recommendations for which part of the island to check out.

Jet Ski - do most of the bigger hotels have access to Jet Ski's? (We're staying at Le Petite Hotel but I think we're near Grand Case Beach Club)

Any other helpful hints are much appreciated!

Taxi's are expensive.
They drive on the same side of the road as USA.
Grande Case Beach Club has snorkling trips you could sign up for, out to Creole Rock. Scoobie Doo will pick you up in Grande Case Bay.
The ferry leaves Marigot every 40 minutes or so.
You can rent jet skis at orient beach.
La Petite Hotel is lovely.
I suggest you rent a car to explore all the beautiful beaches on the island.
Enjoy your holiday!

Parking can be a challenge, especially in P'burg!
Anguilla drives on the other side. We usually just have a taxi take us around while we are over there. It can make for an expensive day, But we love Shoal Bay Beach over there and spend the day there.
I believe that Petite Hotel has a small parking lot for guests.

When on Anguilla, you want to go to Shoal Bay EAST.
Bring your passport!
