PInel Island

Is Pinel Island worth the time away from the other beautiful beaches of St. Maarten? We like Orient and Cupecoy and will arrive next month for our wedding anniversey. This will be our second trip to the island and looking for relaxing, romantic beach activities and evenings. Open to any suggestions.

Yes, my husband & I think that Pinel Island is great. We go there for the snorkeling. That is very easy to do there. The place is usually quiet, The water is gentle & the sand is clean.

It took us years of going to SXM to finally take a trip to Pinel Island. Sorry, but we were very disappointed. We were there late Sept., it was very crowded, the water was cloudy but very calm. There are so many beautiful beaches with great snorkeling. If you haven't been to Anguilla, you should because it is so nice.

It is like another planet. Do go to the beach on the North or East side of the Island.

What can we expect at the beach? Food, drink, activities etc? Were not looking for alot to do other than relax. Thanks.

Three restaurants on the south and west sides, where you arrive by boat. The north and east beaches are often EMPTY! They're worth the short hike!
