Mary's Boon questions

I have never stayed at Mary's, and have a couple questions.

One, in the pictures on the website, it show a swim up bar. Is there a bartender afternoons?

Also, how full is the on-site restaurant at dinner time, and are reservations required?

Thanks in advance.

We stayed there six times and while there is a place for a bartender to serve in the pool area they never did. There is a new owner but I have not heard that they serve drinks in the pool. It's a very small pool so I can't imagine there would be much business in having a bartender there. We never saw many people using the pool area since the resort is directly on the beach most people lay out on the beach. They have an observation deck that has a bar but that was closed down years ago. Too bad because it would be nice to have drinks up there watching the planes land and take off. In recent years though the view isn't all that great as the trees now obstruct most of the view until the planes are already down on the ground.

The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner except on Sunday it serves only brunch. They have served both ala carte and "family" style dinners. If you're staying at the resort it's very convenient. The menu is very large for breakfast and lunch. Service had been very slow which discouraged us from eating dinner. Ate once with friends for ala carte and it was good.

Thanks Louise, for the info. I appreciate it. Looks like we will give Mary's Boon a try.
